It’s May, and spring is almost here. The temperatures are warming up in Seattle, making it an ideal time for fishing. Anglers are excited about the lingcod season, which began yesterday. The opening day produced some impressive catches, and one of the anglers’ first lingcod is featured below.

This fishery offers excellent fishing opportunities in the morning and afternoon. We typically use live bait, so we begin by catching it before heading to the cod grounds near the shore in Seattle’s Puget Sound.

We will begin our quest for the tasty bottom-dwelling lingcod from May 1 until June 15. The benefit of fishing inshore out of Seattle is that we have the ability to fish the morning and afternoon tides to suit the needs of local and traveling anglers. The travel time to the Seattle inshore lingcod fishing grounds is

about 15-30min depending on the chosen reef morning or after-noon booking.

We still have available dates open for fishing, as this fishery is open 7 days a week. Book now whether this is your first time or you are experienced; we're ready to fish with you.

We were off to a successful black mouth season. With the perfect winds and weather fishing started off fast and strong, with multiple hookups of legal keepers with a mix of spring kings and resident coho. Wednesday April 2nd -Saturday April 5th we decided to focus our efforts at Jefferson head which is 5-8min run from Shilshole dock.

While there are many tactics that were successful, we decided to troll using spoons and herring. Even though the season in the Seattle area has been cut short we will continue to run south in search of the tasty winter black mouth. Use the link below to get into the action.
