Booking & Arrival

How do I reserve a trip?

Trips are reserved directly through our website. Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email with clear details for arrival, parking, and what to expect on the water.

When should I book?

Availability is limited, particularly during peak salmon seasons. Booking early is recommended.

What’s the difference between shared and private charters?

Shared charters offer a refined, guided experience alongside a small group of other anglers. Private charters reserve the entire vessel exclusively for you and your guests.

Where do we meet?

All trips depart from 7750 Seaview Ave NW Seattle, WA 98117. Exact directions and parking instructions are included with your confirmation.

When should we arrive?

Please arrive 15–20 minutes before departure to allow for a relaxed check-in and safety briefing.

Where can I stay?

Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Northgate located conveniently off the I-5, a quick 10-minute drive to downtown Seattle and 4 miles from Shillshole Marina.

Cancellations & Refunds

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are allowed within 48 hours notice before the trip for a refund or credit. Cancellations made outside this window are non-refundable.

Can I reschedule my trip?

Yes. Rescheduling is permitted when notice is given within the required timeframe and is subject to availability. Please call (425) 301-8769 or email twinjcharters@gmail.com.

What happens if I need to cancel last minute?

Last-minute cancellations are non-refundable due to limited availability and advance trip preparation.

Do you offer refunds for no-shows?

No. No-shows are treated as same-day cancellations and are non-refundable.

How are refunds issued?

Approved refunds are issued to the original form of payment.

How long do refunds take to process?

Refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Weather Cancellations

What happens if the weather is unsafe?

If conditions are deemed unsafe by the captain, your trip will be rescheduled or refunded in full.

Who decides if conditions are unsafe?

The final decision is always made by the captain, based on safety and sea conditions.

Is light rain a reason for cancellation?

No. Light rain is common in the Pacific Northwest and does not affect trips.

Trip Changes & Guest Responsibility

What if someone in my group can’t attend?

Your booking covers the reserved space on the vessel. Individual guest absences do not qualify for partial refunds.

Can I transfer my booking to someone else?

Yes, with advance notice. Please contact us to update guest details.

What if we arrive late?

Late arrivals may result in reduced trip time. Departure times are firm to respect weather windows and other bookings.

What is a shared charter?

A shared charter is ideal for individuals or smaller groups seeking a guided experience without reserving the full vessel. Space is limited to ensure comfort and personal attention.

What is a private charter?

A private charter offers full use of the boat for your group, allowing for a more flexible pace and a tailored experience on the water.

Which option should I choose?

Shared charters offer exceptional value and community. Private charters provide privacy, customization, and exclusivity.

What’s Included

What does the charter include?

Each trip includes all premium rods and reels, tackle, bait, and ice. Everything is prepared in advance so your time on the water feels effortless.

Are fishing licenses included?

Fishing licenses are included in accordance with Washington State regulations.

Do you clean the fish?

Yes. All legal keeper fish are professionally cleaned and prepared at the end of your trip. We do not offer vacuum seal and packaging. However, we do recommend Wild Salmon Seafood Market.

Are there additional fees?

No. Pricing is straightforward. Gratuity is not included and is always at your discretion.

Experience Level

Do I need prior fishing experience?

No. Trips are designed for all experience levels. Instruction is provided as needed, with an emphasis on comfort and fun!

Are children welcome?

Yes. Families are welcome, and the experience is adjusted to ensure safety and enjoyment for all ages.

Is this suitable for visitors to Seattle?

Absolutely. Fishing on Puget Sound offers a calm, scenic introduction to the Pacific Northwest.

What to Bring

What should I bring?

Dress in layers. Bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and any personal snacks or beverages you’d like during the trip.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and non-slip footwear are recommended. Puget Sound conditions can change throughout the day.

Can we bring food or drinks?

Yes. Light refreshments are welcome.

Fish & Seasons

What species do you target?

Species vary by season and may include Chinook and Coho salmon, Lingcod, Dungeness crab, and other Puget Sound fisheries.

Is catching fish guaranteed?

Fishing is never guaranteed. Our focus is on providing a thoughtful, well-guided experience.

What if we don’t catch fish?

Catches are never guaranteed, but your experience is. Every trip includes expert guidance, quality gear, and time spent learning and exploring Puget Sound. The focus is on a well-run day on the water regardless of the final count.
